Limits to Confidentiality

Counselling is a time and a place where you may want to discuss subjects that may be difficult to talk about. I promise to keep anything you share with me confidential. The only exceptions to this would be on matters of money laundering and terrorism which I am legally obliged to report. If I believed that you or someone else was in danger of immediate harm or if there was a child protection issue. If this were the case, I would discuss with you before taking the matter to my supervisor, who helps keep my work safe and of high quality.
If you decide you would like to work with me, I will request personal information including , your name, address, emergency contact details. This information will only be used by me not passed on to any third parties. This would only be done with your permission, with the exception of a court subpoena. In which case I am obliged to pass on by law.
